In Hermitage, Pennsylvania, UPMC aimed to construct a medical building that was energy efficient, budget-friendly and could be constructed quickly. To achieve this, they selected Nudura Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) for the structural walls, combined with Prebuck parapet caps and window bucks.
Nudura ICFs were chosen for their increased thermal insulation offering guaranteed energy code compliance and long-term durability for the project. Prebuck’s custom pre-built parapet caps and window and door bucks were used for their durability and compatibility with ICFs. The Prebuck materials are lightweight yet robust, contributing to an easier and faster installation.
