Silicone is inorganic which mean it will likely have a lifespan of 10 to 20 yr and an initial tack-free time of about 10 min. Urethane is organic with a lifespan of 5 to 15 yr with a tack-free time of 3 to 8 hr. However, urethanes cure harder and are paintable (silicone is not).

TremGlaze S900 is used as an in-plant back bedding sealant in the construction of window and door products.

Yes, it is compliant with ASTM C920 which covers joint sealants.

Due to the chemistry of silicone sealant, it will not accept paint.

When appropriately mixed, the product has a VOC level of 20 g/l.
