The Zarillo Lakefront House

This custom lakefront home used compatible sealants, air barriers, Insulated Concrete Forms, and window and door bucks from Tremco CPG brands for a durable, energy-efficient structure. 

As Bill Zarillo planned his retirement, he envisioned a custom home that could attain his goals of waterfront living, energy efficiency, and handicap accessibility. 

Given the land’s downward slope towards the lake, the house required basement and above ground walls with exceptional durability. Nudura Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) were the ideal sustainable solution that could also withstand the lake effect winds and weather. The design also incorporated an insect- and fungus-resistant, waterproof and easy to install door and window buck frame system.  

Zarillo ultimately selected Prebuck for window and door bucking due to its reliability, custom fitting and compatibility with ICFs. Optimizing the benefits of a single-source warranty from Tremco CPG, he made use of many other building envelope products, which included:
